There’s no “I do” take two, at least for our super -in-love sweethearts Julia and her Alexey who had their loved ones come all the way from Ukraine to celebrate their love on the uber-luxurious Anassa Resort in Akamas, Cyprus. That is why Julia knew that if there is one chance to score and enjoy her fave gowns she just had to go for them both! Going for her hearted designer, Caroline Castigliano she jetted off to London to bring back two timeless designs with ultra-feminine twists, elevated textures and highly luxurious accents, just perfect for the ambiance of the big day. And when the shoe fits, you’ve guessed it, one can only think of Manolos and Choos to bring together the most elegant looks! Loving the style of our bride and vice versa had us thrilled to consider each and every one of her wishes, take things very personally and make it a personal quest to soak her Big Day in lush accents and tons of florals.
Combining old and new, while nodding to “forever style” we designed a ceremony with florals overgrowing from the two sides of the aisle, coming down to a perfect frame of tufted greenery and lavish white blooms, to bring a bold look to the framer, sure it would keep the couple’s wedding photos looking timeless for years to come. Guests were chauffeured over to the venue in golf carts and limousines and were greeted by live music, courtesy of a harpist, setting the night’s old-world charm feel.
The centerpieces were kept classic and simple with bunches of Julia’s favorite flowers—hydrangeas, spray roses, garden roses, white lilacs, peonies, and lisianthus lined down the middle of the table in metallic and crystal vases. To play off the dream-like ambiance (and a subtle nod to their endless romance), candles on clear candlesticks added warmth to each arrangement and two canopies strewn with according blooms were placed for the couple’s grand entrance. To complement the resort’s feel and our gold-edged china, Julie asked us to create an elongated foldout menu and set boxes of gifts on top with traditional treats.
The cake master of Anassa Resort created the couple’s cake, a three-tiered confection of vanilla and chocolate sponge, finished with a bold floral edge, tying in the wedding’s elegant and formal theme. Julia and Alexey used round tables as they wanted the reception to carry and easier flow, as guests wouldn’t have to walk around each other’s chairs quite as much as with rectangular sets, plus it would offer a more contemporary feel, add more space and would have the reception look incredible on aerials. As far as the lighting was concerned we wished to give our couple both en masse and installed in unique ways, countless strands of fairy lights to make their olive grove reception a lot more magical and have them and their guests feel as though they were dining in the stars.
We are so thankful to everyone who worked to realize Julia and Alexey’s dreams with us and we owe special thanks to the bride and groom’s photographer Pasha Lutov and videographer Mont who so elegantly lensed and documented their wedding in Cyprus.
